Suggestions and Requests / Need ability to include link tags to html reports
« on: September 29, 2009, 11:38:11 pm »
I have not been able to find a way to include the content of tags added to links (associations) into HTML reports.  Two options for consideration:  (1) add #TAGLABEL# #TAGS# to the detail section of the "Association From" and "Flow to" tabs, or (2) add ability to directly click on links within the html generated diagrams -- resulting in a new tabular section.

General Board / Truncated Images
« on: July 18, 2004, 06:02:34 pm »
I am getting a truncation of PNG and GIF images in both HTML and RTF documents.

Here is the process I am using:

Add the PNG (or GIF) image into the Image Manager.  The file is a screen snapshot about 6 inch x 6 inch (61K size)

In a Daigram....
Add "Screen" object from under Custom Tollbox.
Right Click.
Appearance >> Select Alternate Image.
Click chosen image >. Click OK.
Generate HTML.

Only the left-most one inch of the image is displayed.

I have increased the Image Memory Limit to 512 MB - didn't fix problem.

The problem started after upgrading to version 4.10.731.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

General Board / Re: Foreign Key to Primary Keys
« on: October 15, 2003, 12:13:40 pm »
Thanks Henk for the the info.

I installed build 647 and tested.  Yes, the behavior has changed.  However, now EA seems to always build the link using the primary keys of the target table regardless of my having selected an alternate key from the target table.

Also, after deleting a set of related fields on the relation and then attempting to insert a new set of fields, I get the following message:

DAO.Record [3021]
No Current Record.

Thanks again.  Aside from this issue I am finding in my evaluation that EA is a great tool.  I'll be making a purchase decision soon.

General Board / Foreign Key to Primary Keys
« on: October 14, 2003, 05:22:10 pm »
It is quite common for a table to have unqiue alternate keys in addition to the primary key.  For example, an employee may have a primary key that is a system assigned numeric value.  Also, the table may have a alternate key (unique index) on another field, say Peoplesoft Id.  In EA when attempting to assign a foreign key to this alternate key in the emp table, the following message is displayed:

Target columns must match
target primary key domain.

Can this restriction be removed or overridden?
