General Board / Re: UI Suggestion - Option to Locate on Current Diagram
« on: December 13, 2017, 12:03:55 pm »
If the item is on 25 diagrams, Ctrl+U is more difficult, besides, I don't believe that's answering Rich's problem.
The problem occurs when pasting the element that already exists on the diagram.
The existing solution to that is to right click on the element in the project browser and select Locate in Current Diagram

Then I have to go through several clicks to locate it.
No need. Just do CTRL+U while the element is selected in the project browser.

Curiously though, the key I altered worked for me.
When a new key is created in the registry, a default value name/data is added to it automatically which is usually unused.
...worked for me. How would that be?
Some[thing | one] has fixed the actual problem for you elsewhere.

As you couldn't even open an .eap locally by double clicking, your problem was not solely because of the database server being down. It could be your network that had issues and EA couldn't access the license details from the key store.

OTOH, Sparx has previously confirmed an issue where if the default project is not accessible, EA cannot be launched. However, in this case EA could be launched by double clicking on an .eap

and is the 'default value' key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sparx Systems\EA400\EA\OPTIONS | DEFAULT_PROJECT

Sparx has recently accepted to implement it.

EA doesn't empty your file by itself.
Looks like your model has been moved/deleted and a new model is created through the Windows folder (New | Enterprise Architect Model) which currently creates an .eap with a size of 0 (Sparx is aware of this).
Check the Date created flag.

Right click on an element in the Project Browser then select Add | Create Link

Sparx doesn't support Citrix.
Even if you get around one problem, you may face another.

I have used EA DOORS MDG for DOORS 9.6. It works fine.
The version of Doors MDG that you are talking about isn't available for a trail.

There is a way to do it if you change the way to create the profiles.
Look for Matrix Specification in the following link.
http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/model_domains/artifact.html
In the second (Artifact), you can change the name but nothing else (after initial creation).
I think you missed the following bit on that page.
To edit the Profile, right-click on the  Artifact and select the 'Documentation | Edit Matrix Profile' option.

The Doors MDG that you have downloaded doesn't support Doors 9.x
For people having relevant licenses, the Sparx support may provide some alternative.

Bugs and Issues / Re: Webpage Wireframe - Table Control - ReOrder Columns?
« on: September 15, 2017, 02:49:23 pm »
As of current version of EA there is no way to re-order the columns.
You can rename the column names by right clicking on it, if that helps.

Repository.Execute(sql) doesn't check for any permissions other than the permission to run the script itself.
