General Board / How to add an image in a community resource

While editing a community resource I want to insert an image.

I got to the tab Image, choose the file and define a caption. But how can I get the image into my text. There is an image button. I have to enter a URL. What URL? The name of the image file?

 I'm a little bit confused because I remember that in the past it was an easy task.

 I don't find any help.

Hi,

is there any support of SysML allocation compartments or allocate callout notation?

I'm only aware of the EA standard features like Relationship Matrix and showing the dependency on a diagram.

For a long time I had stability problems while generating *.rtf documentation with:
- Output pdf
- Fragmentscripts

After using IExplorer 11 instead of IExplorer8 the problems seems to vanish.

Bugs and Issues / Different rendering of Diagrams on different PC, p

Hello,

since some time Diagrams are rendered differently on two Computers.

I use the same *.eap file and copy it per USB. One Computer has pretty Diagrams where the text fits well. The other Computer needs for the same text more place. The result insn't enjoyable. In activty diagrams the actions on one Computer are ok. On the other the actions are overlapping.

I checked the diagram options in tools options. I see no difference.

I tested it with other Computers. No problem, as expected.

I have no idea.

Any idea?

Hi,

I made a SQL Query with sorting for a Relationship Matrix.

EA ignores SQL sorting. The option Sort Axe has no influence on sorting.

This is for EA10 + EA11.

Bugs and Issues / No return message(acknowledgement) to a bug report

Hello,

I issued a bug report on Sunday and today. I got no acknowledgement. In the past I got an acknowledgement.

SPARX may improve their message by returning the content of the bug report. I don't want to copy each detail on my hard disk.

Bugs and Issues / Field length of return Fragment Scripts is limited

Hello,

I used a fragment script to output *.h files in the rtf/pdf documentation.
If the *.h file is to large (around 300 lines) I get the error message 'invalid field content' or so.

I assume that the length of the returned value is restricted by count of characters or lines.

The workaround is: Make more than one fragment template to split the output in parts below of 200 lines.

Bugs and Issues / Ran out of memory during rtf as PDF generating

Hello,

if I generate large RTF documents as *.PDF the following happens:

• Pop Up: Ran out of memory
• Parts of the document are missing
• In short no useful PDF document

The exact behavior differs from PC to PC.

It's easy to reproduce:
Try to document the whole EA example model as PDF. One PC runs out of merory. The other genereted without error message but parts of the documentation are missing in PDF.

I found the error message in the forum. No solution or workaround.

If I generate it as *.rtf it works fine.

Bugs and Issues / rtf fragments destroy content of operations

Hi,

I created a document by copying it from the basic template. Everything runs fine.

The I added in the template: Insert Template (I used a SPARX example template to add)

After adding the template the attributes- and operation content shows only the field names instead of the field values.
Connectors on the other hand are ok.

The behavior is independant of the inserted template and of the position in the document template. I can also use other document templates. The same behavior.

Bugs and Issues / Warning: Underlying model data may have been modif

Hello,

EA 9.35 with SQL Server and Controlled Packages (SVN).

I checked out a package and later I got the warning:
Warning: Underlying model data may have been modified by another user. Press OK to refresh.

After pressing OK the Controlled package is empty.

For me the message makes no sense because I checked out the package and no one else could have modified anything inside the package.

Hi,

EA generates the typedefs for enum, struct,.. in *.h File for public\protected classes.

EA don't generates typedefs for enum, struct,.. in *.c File for private classes.

If such an enum, struct is private I would expect EA to generate the associated stuff in the *.c file.

The Reverse Engineering function works as expected.

• Typedefs from *.h are public.
• Typedefs from *.c are private.

Hello,

From C-Code:

*.h  File         *.c File
extern int v;    int v;
I would expect to get in EA a class with a public attribut v.
public int:v

What I get is:
public  int:v
private int:v

In fact I get two attributes with the same name, one public and one private.

Is there a way to avoid this problem?
