There is no way to delete list levels and overrides inside the rtf editor. However you can export the Template to an rtf file and remove the list levels inside the rtf file. Then import the changed rtf file back into yout template. Please make sure that you make no changes to the template in the editor before import of the rtf there seems to be a bug.

As an example this is the section in the rtf to change

{\*\listtable

My example. Just remove all lists in the listtable and the overrides in the listoverridetable esction

Hope that helps

a little bit disappointing that so many bugs i reported for the rtf documentation are not solved after such a long development period

General Board / Menue option to keep headers in tables
« on: August 10, 2011, 02:00:04 am »
I have the problem that the table header should be repeated when table is larger than one page. This is an option in word and also in rtf documents if you wrote \trhdr in the definition of the table after the first row. It cannot be set with the table header style.
I did not find a menue point in EA to set this inside the template editor. I can set it manually in the rtf file with export and import. Then it works for generation. Any clue where to find the option ?
Regards Michael

General Board / Re: Using foreign heading styles in an rtf templat
« on: August 10, 2011, 02:48:32 am »
Yes the names are really hard coded. Also some others like Normal and also the bulleted list and table headers. Don't change them. I also used Überschrift 1 but i had always problems with the generation.

General Board / Search order in EA
« on: August 10, 2011, 02:04:13 am »
I have creaated a long list of Abbreviations in EA as stereotyped class elements. EA sorts them by name but capital letters come before small letters what is not normal in Germany. Is there any possibility to change the sort order EA is using. Even when i use a SQL statement with the correct order for rtf generation it still sorts by name or by tree order and not in the order in the query

Bugs and Issues / Re: RTF Table header
« on: September 20, 2012, 07:55:04 pm »
Sometimes i have this behaviour too i think i have registered this as a bug (among hundred others for the RTF generator) but Sparx does not provide a bug page so i have forgotten it. Since 1/2 a year there have been no bug fix for RTF generator so i think it is a forgetten feature.
But for your problem if this happens you can put the header not in the section with the connectors. Instead put in in the element section and then put only one table row in the connection section. I can send you an example if you want.

Bugs and Issues / Re: RTF Documentation not working properly in 930!
« on: March 08, 2012, 02:23:00 am »
When i press F8 it is working in 930 is there something special you have done so it has to do with the element or diagram you have selected. Also i see the Copy RTF bookmark conect menu item so maybe you have reduce your menues.

Bugs and Issues / Re: Wrong style used for notes comments
« on: March 06, 2012, 12:24:01 am »
In the 8.xxx line of EA there was a bug with default style for notes that it only worked with one paragraph in the notes. If there was a second paragraph these and the following were formatted as is.

Switch to version 9.x

Bugs and Issues / Re: MDG Technology Update Error
« on: September 10, 2011, 01:07:13 am »
What do you mean by installing the MDG Technology. It seems you import the technology in the EAP file. This is not neccessary. Just copy the new over the old file.

Bugs and Issues / Re: MDG Technologies and Tagged Value Types
« on: September 17, 2011, 02:48:34 am »
What do you mean by imported. The tagged values are referenced as Technology Short Name::Tagged Value Name. You can use then but they are not shown in the tagged value dialog.

Bugs and Issues / Re: EA V8.0 - Doc Generation
« on: April 22, 2010, 06:02:02 am »
I started doc generation today with EA 8.0 with an 7.5 file and template and stopped it immediately. For me it seems that EA will return 2 packages instead of one when child packages exists even if child packages are not included. That causes a lot of trouble. I did not send a bug report. Also the document doesn't look like in EA 7.5. I will wait if the bugs are closed before i upgrade to 8.0

Bugs and Issues / Re: templates from MDG tech not shown for RTFTempl
« on: April 30, 2010, 07:15:17 pm »
Sorry for answering late i was ill. I changed it manually in the database or by using a template in the technology that has a model document for eacht RTF Template.
In EA 8 855 this bug is fixed but not completely. When you create a model document you can still not choose the RTF Template from the technology. But when you delete the tagged value RTFTemplate and create it again you can choose the RTFTemplate now. Strange behaviour but it works. I will issue it as bug again.

Bugs and Issues / Re: templates from MDG tech not shown for RTFTempl

This is a known bug in EA. I have raised it some time ago. It was solved in Beta 1 and 2 of EA 8 but in the final version it is in again. So you have to wait for a solution. I have created a template where a model document with each rtf template is predefined so i don't have to set the Tagged Value.

Uml Process / Re: node vs deivce (EA bug or UML restriction)
« on: September 28, 2012, 10:42:40 pm »
It is a bug i created a profile based on stereotypes of device but i can't used them with the parent instance classifier dialog. It is a registered bug now. I changed my profile to use only stereotypes derived from nodes. The bug is more than a yera old so don't think it will be solved soon.
