General Board / Re: Sequational diagram-messages
« on: January 08, 2002, 09:14:35 pm »

I sort of compromised on this and added a button to the end of the MessageName drop down in the Message Dialog ... this is active if the target object supports operations or has a classifier that does. Click on this and the Operations dialog will show for the appropriate object - when closed the drop list will refresh with the list of operation names (including any new ones)

This will be in the next minor build (after 440)

Hi Darren,

What Build# of EA are you using (see Help/About) - I remember this being a problem some time back but thought it had been fixed - although I may not be understanding the problem fully.

The current release of EA is Build 429.

I marked a package containing requirements as controlled, linked the requirements to Use Cases etc. in other packages, then saved and reloaded the package - all the Realisation links were restored OK. But I may not be doing exactly what you are -

Hi Sai,

I take your point about this - I will create some cross referencing on the text object so that it updates name and package details on load if necessary.

Thanks for pointing it out.

General Board / Re: Data Flow Diagrams

Hi Pepe,

Our number one commitment is to be UML compliant - so any inclusion of DFD features would have to be in terms of stereotyped UML elements.
If you could email me a zipped up diagram or two of the sort of thing you are after - I will consider how it might best be tackled within the context of UML and EA.

General Board / Re: How to show Initial Value?
« on: December 24, 2001, 01:35:20 am »

You cannot do this currently. I have checked the code and it is a relatively simple addition - so I  will get it included in the next minor update (in a week or so). Just need to also include the option to hide the default value if required.

General Board / Re: How to bind an interface to another?
« on: December 24, 2001, 01:24:26 am »
Yes - EA only allows linking at the object level currently - although there is no reason that this could not be extended to include linking to internal features - such as interfaces.

Sequence diagram messages have a similar facility - allowing linking to an operation in the target class.

I have noted your request and will see what can be done in the near future.

General Board / Re: Printing Reports
« on: December 24, 2001, 01:16:31 am »

Unfortunately there is currently no easy way to print a report view as displayed. We are planning to add an RTF report that contains the same information - early in the new year.

Hope this helps,

Uml Process / Re: A first contribution on the PUP/EUP
« on: December 10, 2002, 06:15:23 am »
Hello everyone,

Im more than happy to organise a special forum section for this activity. I will try and get it set up in the next day or two for you - probably under the name "UML Process" in the General section of our board - (the name was the first that came to mind - let me know if there are other preferences).

I will also look at setting up some kind of upload area - or public FTP capability. There will have to be some quotas applied, but in general this should not be a problem.

If there are any other requests let me know,
