Hello Everyone,

If I create a related documentation, the table of content into Enterprise architect looks perfectly aligned into EA embedded documentation editor, but if i export the project into html format, the table of contents appears misaligned.

Here an example:

Table of contents

Introduction              1
First page                    2
Verification             4
Conclusion                      7
Revision                    8

The page numbers are misaligned (out of phase).

How can I fix this graphical issue into HTML export? Is there any option that preserve the a4 format also into html report?

Hello everyone,

supposing this scenario:

Starting point: John has a project with this hierarchical organization:

  • Package A
  • Package B
  • Block diagram

And imagine that Frank has a copy of the same .eapx file.

John and Frank work separately using the same modules defined into block diagram (John uses the block diagram’s elements to design some behavioral diagrams into block A and Frank uses the same block diagram’s elements to design some behavioral diagrams into block B).

John would like to import Frank’s work into its own .eapx file and ask to Frank to export the Block B package into XML format. After the block B import, John finds some issue with messages into sequence diagrams due to GUIDs conflicts even with “strip GUIDs” option activated while importing the XML package.

My question is: In this scenario is there any way to import Frank’s package without conflicts with GUIDs? Which is the correct import procedure in this case? I mean, if I work on a project that contains packages that other users (with a copy of same project) are modifying on their local machines, which is the correct way to import their own work into my project?

Which are the best practices to avoid GUIDs conflicts during import/merge of XML files?

Thank you in advance for your support

I really appreciate your work.

Bugs and Issues / EA custom table new line
« on: July 15, 2020, 06:49:48 pm »
Hi everyone,

I have a question about custom table element. I Know that I can edit the text inside a cell going into Properties -> Tags -> data. Into this section, I can access to the xml related to the custom table.

My question is: Is there a method to insert a go to new line (</br>) into a cell?

I would like to insert multiple lines into a cell (like a list of object)

Thank you in advance

Bugs and Issues / EA notes & fragments anchored together
« on: July 15, 2020, 06:39:55 pm »
Hello Everyone,

I'm using EA v.15.0.1415 and I have a question about the drawing of a diagram.

Supposing this scenario:

•   Step_1  I have a sequence diagram
•   Step_2 I add a note in the bottom section (Note #1 BLU)
•   Step_3 I add another note in the top section (Note #2 GREEN)

Now if I move in down direction the note#2 positioned in the top section, also the note#1 in the bottom section shift down.

How can I disable this option? I would like to move Note#2 (GREEN) without moving any other note below Note#2. This happens also with fragments, text element and so on…

In a complex diagram I have a lot of fragments, notes and text element and if I insert another element on top, after moving that, I have to arrange any other element in the below section.
