Bugs and Issues / Re: EA 14 - Missing table in Class diagram toolbox

Might be a licensing issue. I have a corporate one.

I think I know what you are doing. But I never got why people use cloning in a model. Having a "model factory" seems very much far fetched. When I model something each element has a very individual meaning. And cloning it even once does not make sense at all since what do I achieve? A new basic concept as alternative? How many alternatives would one model? And why?  So, basically, I still don't get what you are doing there.

Honestly, I don't get what you did and why you were doing it at all. Not talking about the issue you seem to have then.

There are quite a number of ruins in EA that should have been demolished. Unlike medieval castles these ruins are not pleasant to look at :-/

Maybe it's a lack in the definition. I can create a stereotype "BPMN2.0::burp" and EA will treat that as a "normal" stereotype. But (IIRC) stereotypes aew now (since UML 2.?) only valid as part of a profile. EA silently had introduced those EAUML profiles for most (!) of those "normal" stereotypes. But (well, it's EA) it does not consequently use that. Instead there are tons of un-profiled stereotypes lurking around. And you still can create them wildly. Ends up in stereotypes that look like being from a profile but actually are not. This is (typical EA) a half cooked concept.

Try to be consistent on your own. Run your own model checks. Don't trust EA.

To me a 1-multiplicity is a synonym for a singleton. And that I usually stereotype with <<singleton>>. I can't imagine any other multiplicity classification besides that.

A bet a bottle of beer against a Beetle that it won't be fixed in 5 years.

Have you turned on the Database Engineering MDG?

If the color happens to come from a shape script you're almost out of luck. Even if you can find the source in the MDG (which happens to be most difficult) you would need to interpret the shape script in it's context. Maybe, if you have it on a diagram there might be ways to figure out the pixel color of a screen area you identify being the element. And then hopefully you get the right place where no icon/text or so is drawn.

The first I recommend upon new EA installations is to get rid of all those MDGs in the EA program folder.

I've recently used EA over wine on my Mac. Though it can "do the job" there are quite a number of differences compared to the installation on Parallels which acts more like a Windoze machine. Especially keyboard control keys are a bit flaky under wine. I also tried VMware but that was more kind of a disaster. I cant remember many threads here dealing with code weaver. I suggest you contact Sparx support via mail.

Don't you think that this is a bit too broad for a question to be asked here?

Take it from any local EA client installation.

General Board / Re: Call behavior Activity (CBA) element
« on: December 10, 2018, 05:42:32 pm »
None. You can not create "exactly the same" entry. At least the guid for the t_xref entry must be different. Moreover, if you don't tell what error you encountered there's just space for guessing.

Yes, you need to create such an entry in t_xref to make it a CallBehavior. Try with an empty EAP and run the SQL against t_xref to find out which eaguids are referenced in the t_xref. It's quite obvious. There is no way around going to EAs tables since the API does not help you here.
