Any add-ins running from MDGs or so? If so, turn them off and see what happens.

General Board / Re: Multi-language model
« on: November 08, 2018, 09:48:50 pm »
Not really. The problem with any multi-language support is that you no longer have a single source of truth. Things have a meaning in a certain human language. But the translation is no 1:1 mapping. Also if you have 2 descriptions then which one holds the truth? You might change any language's description and either forget to translate it or you translate it wrongly because you are not fluent enough. Problems, problems, ...

Only if you work with your meta model. Else you should use a textual description to express that dependency.

Just google (or try the forum search) for Oracle with EA and you find that it's just a bad choice. Consider using something else like MySQL or SQL Server.

If you don't come up with details it's impossible to give any help. So if you are interested in solving your issue please show some details. What does not work? What did you do? Just "it does not work" will not provide any answer since that's no question but a statement.

What shall I say? My crystal ball is unfortunately broken.

Make them 10+ associations with role name and property isOwned=True.

And the worst part is that these reserved words and the way you need to escape them differs from one SQL dialect to the other :-/ Anyhow, happy you finally solved it.

Don't search for the description string. You need to match t_xref.Client to match the action's element GUID.

Funny these questions come in lots now (see this thread). You t_xref looks like this:
Code: [Select]
@PROP=@NAME=kind@ENDNAME;@TYPE=ActionKind@ENDTYPE;@VALU=AcceptEventTimer@ENDVALU;@PRMT=@ENDPRMT;@ENDPROP;

How (in the UI) do you create the timer element?

You're welcome. If you run into any issue just come back here.

The best would be to have blind and deef modelers so they can not carry any confidential information outside the company :-/

I remember having answered that the last weeks, but where? Anyway, this is found in t_ref.Description:

Code: [Select]
@PROP=@NAME=kind@ENDNAME;@TYPE=ActionKind@ENDTYPE;@VALU=Hyperlink@ENDVALU;@PRMT=@ENDPRMT;@ENDPROP;@PROP=@NAME=value@ENDNAME;@TYPE=String@ENDTYPE;@VALU=www.sparx.com@ENDVALU;@PRMT=@ENDPRMT;@ENDPROP;

You need to create that entry in t_xref manually since there is (AFAIK) no API for it. Use Repository.Execute to send the CREATE SQL.

General Board / Re: How to stop all this Spam & BOT created messages
« on: November 04, 2018, 08:03:48 am »
Definitely the user registration should be made a bit more difficult. However, when it's getting to weekend or night in Aussie-land I just know that I have to select posts until only obvious spam is left and then "Mark messages as read". Doesn't get those bastards replying "meaningful" on threads :-/

FWIW: it has been discussed earlier here and probably nothing's going to change.
