General Board / Re: How best to model different architectures
« on: June 12, 2015, 08:39:39 am »
This link is to an EAP file that contains a TOGAF Repository Template - it could be helpful in setting up an initial model outline structure. We provide this as part of a course we offer for using EA with TOGAF.
Let me know if you have questions!

Great points - why can't we just select the relationships on the diagram that we want to change and select the change to be made w/o having to select them to open in the relationships window? Clearly the requirement has been muddled and delivered with some easter egg features.  :P

We are created a platform to migrate model content btw EA and SA - see this link for information:
If you are interested in trying this out, please contact me and I'll glad to help you do that.
The challenge with the export from SA is the data structure when you create the CSV file with the std function in the tool. We use a custom CSV formatting that overcomes the limitations using the built-in function. There are no other OOTB options to export content in SA and import that into EA.

We have built a model import adapter based on csv format to help import and export content into EA. If you are interested in looking into this further, please send me a private msg and I'll get you access to our adapter. There are some known limitations in the import/export of models for EA.
