Will support be added for Typescript? If so, when is it expected?

Fair enough. Thanks Simon.

Suggestions and Requests / Kanban Show Assigned Resource

I like the new Kanban feature, though I don't know why it puts the author's name in the top right corner of elements. Wouldn't it be more useful to show the person assigned to the task?

Suggestions and Requests / Firebird Database Modeling
« on: July 30, 2007, 06:23:43 pm »
I like to use the Firebird database with distributable applications for its free license and embedded option.

Could support for Firebird be added to database modeling?

General Board / Use Case Child Diagrams
« on: August 14, 2014, 12:17:55 am »
How do you make use cases clickable to view a child diagram, like in example.ea?

In the example each use case is marked with what looks like a pair of glasses.

General Board / Re: Import Database Schema with Constraints -MS SQ
« on: December 09, 2011, 11:07:54 am »
The constraints are set, and I can see them clearly in Visual Studio.

Is it something to do with the ODBC driver for MS SQL? Should I export the database as something else before importing to EA?

So, this isn't supported.

What I mean is, there are no lines between the tables to show the key relations.

Also, although I can see the columns in each table, if I right click for properties and select operations, nothing is listed. Column/ attributes lists the columns, but columns that should be unique or foreign keys are not listed as such.

I am using 9.0.9. When I go to upgrade it tells me to use Windows update, which doesn't show a more recent update to download.

General Board / Import Database Schema with Constraints -MS SQL
« on: December 07, 2011, 06:17:35 am »
I want to import a database model from an MS SQL database using ODBC.

The tables load, but without constraints (primary/ foreign keys).

Import BD Schema from ODBC >>> Syncronize Excisting Classess (all checked)  >>> Import (All)

The diagram is set to Show Compartment -contraints; and Connectors are set set to Information Engineering.

An explanation of how to get this to work would be appreciated.

General Board / Using UML wih Prince2
« on: July 09, 2008, 10:50:10 pm »
Recently I have begun working for a company that uses Prince2 development methodology as a project manager. I am more familiar with managing projects using RUP and UML. However, I think a lot of the documentation could be presented using UML, and I think every OOP project can bennefit from UML's round trip engineering process.

Does anyone have an opinion about this, or has tried to integrate UML diagrams with Prince2? How successful was it, and do you have any tips?

General Board / Re: Child Diagrams for Use Cases -Sequence, Activi

Thanks.

To do this, right click on the use case in the project window and add the diagram you want. Then, right click on the use case in the diagram view and do as Jan said -select Advanced->Composite Element. The use case will be linked to the diagram you created in the project window under the use case.

Not exactly intuitive, but works.

How do you position child diagrams under use cases so that when the use case is clicked on the child will show?

In the manual, I found:

Quote
A Sequence diagram is often attached directly under the Use Case to which it refers. This helps keep elements together, both in the model and when documentation is produced. To do this, right-click the Use Case on the diagram and select Composite Element. Alternatively, from the Project Browser window, right-click on the Use Case and select New Child Diagram.

There is no "Composite Element" or "New Child Diagram" option either on the use case or from the Project Browser. There is a "Add Diagram" option, which places a diagram under the use case, but it isn't linked.

I am using Enterprise Architect 7.0

How do you set a diagram to be shown when the project is loaded? For example, when the EAExample project is loaded it opens automatically at "Start Here."

I looked through the properties and searched the manual, but can't find how it is done.
