Bugs and Issues / Re: ORA-12899 Error when creating a package / diag
« on: November 26, 2009, 11:19:03 pm »
The GUID isnt stored in either database table. I think the problem is that EA wants to insert 41 characters, where only 40 are allowed?
However, this problem only occurs at my computer, all other colleagues dont have any problems. It might have something to do with the oleDB driver or the oracle client I have installed.
As we didnt found a solution, we now use a shared .eap file.

Bugs and Issues / ORA-12899 Error when creating a package / diagram
« on: November 26, 2009, 12:57:57 am »
I am using the EA Version 7.5.844 and getting the error
Code: [Select]
ORA-12899: Value exceeded ... EA_GUID (actual: 41, max: 40)
whenever I create a new package / diagram / object.
I am using an oracle 11 database for storing the model.
Anyone ever had a message like this?
Any suggestions?

Bugs and Issues / Re: Broken Java API in AE 7.1
« on: April 22, 2008, 11:18:21 pm »
I have noticed the same issue, is there a workaround or a new Version of the eaapi.jar / SSJavaCom.dll ?

When I click the sharepoint site link, I get a page error.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Can nobody help with this?

I am using 6.5 (Build 803). Is there a change in 7.0?

An Element.GetLinkedDocument() method has been implemented for build 801, which should hopefully be available soon.

So I thought it should work.

Is there something new on this topic?
I am trying to use element.getLinkedDocument(), but all I get is an empty String (for all Elements, ignoring whether they have a linked Document)?

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Java API to generate RTF
« on: March 22, 2007, 06:11:07 am »
I just tried the Java API for EA, but I have a little problem :
Does anyone has experience with calling the rtf generate function of EA from the Java API?
The only functions I discovered where things to do with the repository, but we are looking for a way to generate rtf (with a created rtf template) from java (for batch producing of documentation without open EA and make it manually).
I think this wont work with the Java API, any other opninion?

I have the same problem with my rtf templates. It seems to me, that the rtf generator doesnt scale the diagram.
Are there any suggestions?
