MDG - Shapescript link with the diagram Show Compartments properties

Hello,

I have a custom MDG with stereotyped ArchiMate elements.
I need to show on a diagram the tagged values within a stereotyped ArchiMate Application component. This is unfortunately disabled with ArchiMate.
I guess that it could be addressed with a ShapeScript, however I only want to have these tagged values rendered when the diagram's Show Compartments "Tag" property is enabled.
Is there an option in the ShapeScripts to do that? Ideally it would be best if the Tagged Values compartment support could be added to the native Archimate MDG

I haven't found an option to query that "show tags" property.

I guess the only workaround would be an add-in call (the usual performance warnings apply)

Thanks for your reply Geert.
I decided to define a stereotyped UML Component by not extending the Archimate App Component stereotype.
Even if I don't find it ideal, it works and seems to be the only easy way round
