error when editing existing glossary item
« on: March 29, 2013, 01:47:28 am »
Hi,

I keep getting a "Duplicate primary key not allowed' when I try to edit an existing glossary item  >:(

Any ideas on how to fix (or surpass) this? Am working on EA version 10 Professional Edition

You run into this error if the glossary term already exists.

For instance if you have terms 'Cat' and 'Dog' you can't change 'Dog' into 'Cat'.

Just answered another post where an EA message is misleading. What does it make so difficult to display a meaningful message instead? It's the laziness of the programmers which better like to implement new fancy features instead of making a usable product. I get the hang of it...

Oh q.!
Don't bother these poor guys, it's clearly the analysist's fault not to give the right error handling specifications!!  ;D

I know what 'm talking of - I've been and still am a programmer which likes to hack and not to get bothered with stupid bug reports ;D
