Interface with Mercury Quality Center
« on: March 20, 2007, 07:10:51 am »
We are looking at a product from Standard Case which links the requirements developed in EA to Mercury's Quality Center (for testing/QA, etc.) Anyone have experience with this product?  They indicate they have "partnered" with Sparx but I have found no reference to them here.

Isn't Standard Case Bruno Cossi's bunch?  Is he around? If i'm right I'd be seeking him out on this.

Mod: Sorry Paul, I thought you were someone else.  On the "Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools" page there is a link that was started by a gentleman by the name of Bruno Cossi.  He seems to have gone missing from the forum of late.  Try asking SC whether he would be available for comment ... so to speak.

Bruce/Thomas,
Thanks for the info.  I have tried e-mailing some other folks at standard case with no luck, but I will try Bruno now.
Regards

If anyone has any details on this product I'd love to hear from you.  www.standardcase.com is protected by login at the moment.  I've emailed their contact address and will search for Bruno on here as well.

We're desperate to find such a product, or failing that, some tips on how we might develop it internally.  We have an in-house .net capability - would this do the trick?

cheers and thanks in advance

I am not sure if there has been any progress to this thread. I am looking to export test cases from EA to QC and consolidate it on each import. The idea is that test cases will be written in EA corresponding to requirements and will be transferred over to Quality Center for test execution.
One way I was thinking was to export the xml content and putting it into a database whereby a backend update to QC is made depending on what new test cases need to be added/deleted.
The only thing is I don't know how to relate a test case from EA with a unique id, does anyone know how to?

Canonic Corp has just released the beta of our Cadeo for EA/Quality Center real-time integration product.  It will be the official integration product recommended by Sparx.  Pricing is inline with other EA addins.

If you are interested in participating in the beta program please see:

http://www.canoniccorp.com/products-cadeo-eaqc-beta-interest.aspx

The GA release is scheduled for early March.

Hello,

I have just come across this thread by chance and thought I would chip in. I am an Architect at Standard Case and am involved with our EA&TD integration solution.
Bruno has been out of the office for a while (though he is back now, I am sure he will pop by the forum!) so if you have attempted to contact him directly or here in the forum he might not have received the message. I would however be happy to be of assistance. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
Standard Case had been Sparx' partner for years but we have recently asked Sparx to take our listing down as SC has gone through a merger and third-party partnerships needed to be tightly controlled (this also accounts for a brief period of our website being down). We are now much more focused on Microsoft technologies, specifically Sharepoint - new version of our EA&TD integratrion to be launched in March will include Sharepoint-based dashboard as well. If anyone is interested in beta-testing it, please do get in touch!

In the meantime if I can be of any assistance please let me know.

All the best,
Francois
