Sorting elements in the projet browser
« on: October 12, 2011, 10:31:39 pm »
Hi

When you define elements (e.g. classes) in your model, they're automatically sorted by alphabetical order in the Project Browser under their package.

You can manually sort them with the Project Browser green arrows and once you've done that, each element that has been moved around has its order manually managed by the user.
Question is : is there any way to re-affect all elements within the package to EA automatic sorting system?

Thanks !
Guillaume

AFAIK the according sort elements alphabetically option affects just newly added elements. For what you want you need to write an add-in.

Maybe (not tested that): it might be enough to set the tree-pos attribute for all elements back to zero with a sql. Try that on your own risk.

Hi,

1. Right click on the package.
2. In the context menu, choose "Contents"
3. Klick "Reset Sort Order"

Best,
Michael
