Use Case Scenario to Structured Scenario
« on: May 22, 2012, 01:05:05 am »
Hi All

I inherited several old Use Cases where all the steps are in the "Description" tab of the Use Case Scenario (some have 60 steps), now with this new version would like to transfer all those steps to the "Structured Specification" tab.
I tried doing a copy and paste, and is a lot of work, copying step by step from one tab to the other.
Is there an easy way of doing this, like exporting to excel (this is easy) and importing into the Use Case and only to the Structured Scenario tab.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jose

Select all text in your description.
Right click
Select either 'Create Structure from Notes | New Line Delimited' or 'Create Structure from Notes | Sentence Delimited'.

Yeah, this works perfectly - it's how we snap them in from older docs.  make sure to delete the notes tab after you create the structured version.  Otherwise your output specs will show both.
