Sharing user created projects files on Sparx site

It is not easy to find Enterprise Architect project files on the internet. The result is often disappointing. I was looking for e.g. different types of patterns to re-use.

I am not sure if this has been suggested before (I did check the forum first before posting).

Wouldn't it be beneficial for all  EA users to be able to share their EAP files on the Sparx website? Maybe as part of a EA Community page / sub-site.

• This way, the use of patterns can be promoted

Newbies will find ways to get started quickly
We can all learn from others and improve our EA skills
An involved community will promote the EA use
We can share thoughts on the "open" models

I had asked for that some years ago (even some kind of App Store). What Sparx came up with is the Community site http://community.sparxsystems.com which unfortunately is still not linked on the forum site :-?

However, this is a nice place to share resources.

Thanks for the response. The Community Site is exactly the place for user shared EA project files.

It is a great resource for EA users, the Community Resources are however, not being used for EA project file sharing. Maybe it should have a page of its own.

In my opinion, this forum should be integrated into the Community Site.

FWIW: The Help menu has an Open Example Model which includes a lot of quite useful patterns. Real models in contrast will most likely never be shared since as they are real the contain confidential data. And models made for teaching purpose are usually only available for money.

2 1/2 years later we have the link to the community (actually at least 3 1/2 years later, but this post is locked and AFAIR even not the first in this direction). Chapeau.
