Oracle 10G EE as EA repository
« on: June 14, 2006, 11:01:29 pm »
We have EA Corporate Edition v6.1.789.
Can we use the Oracle DB 10G EE release 2 instead of 9i for the repository ?

We have read the instructions at
http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/resources/corporate/oracle_instructions.html

Yes - use the 9i scripts to create the tables.

Kevin,

Works like a charm. I've posted this to the forum in the past.

Just remember that 10gEE won't let you tweak storage allocations - so you don't have to waste time wondering what's wrong like I did - and everything should work out well.

I have not exercised my 10gEE repository extensively, but to date have noticed no problems. If you find anything that's strange, please post to the forum, including workarounds if you know them, so we can all benefit.

David
No, you can't have it!
