Include external elements in HTML reports?
« on: August 13, 2019, 10:44:27 pm »
Hello!

I have several project packages in my model that contain some diagrams and elements under them. Some of these diagrams also contain elements that have been linked from outside the package (the linked elements are in some other package). When I generate an HTML report of one of these project packages, the external elements, while visible in the HTML diagrams, are not interactive and not included in the object list on the left side, so their notes and attributes are not accessible in the report. Many of these elements contain extra information in their notes (like links and definitions) that is needed in these reports.

Is there an easy way to include these external elements in the HTML reports?

Yes, but it not a default feature of EA. Not sure is there an option in EA14.But still you can do it via an addin.

Thank you for the reply.

I am using version 14 but I haven't found an option for this.

Is there some spesific addin for including external elements or would I need to make one myself? I have already been working on a script to do this but it has some problems, which i why I am asking if there is an easier way for doing it.

Ultimately I would like to automate the HTML report generation which requires me to be able to run the process trough the automation api.
