Publish searches or documents on webEA
« on: January 17, 2020, 11:14:04 pm »
We have defined searches to document and verify elements. An example search is all Business Objects and what application components are using the Business Objects.

These lists are useful for end-users without access to EA and we would therefore like to give the end-users access to the searches on the webEA-portal.

Might be several possible technical implementations to cover this need,  the most obvious would be to enable the run of a search from webEA. Maybe a workaround to include a search in a "virtual document" and publish this on webEA?

Any suggestions?

Hello
I agree with you, I think it's a shame not to have the capability to execute the queries of my searches in WebEA.
In general we use a query when the information is found in several diagrams or if we want to do research on specific tags... It's very usefull.
I suggest adding this capability to WebEA. Thanks
Pierre

Running a query on HTML output? I'm not a real friend of Sparx, but being in their place I'd simply say: how? Jquery or such (I don't think it's meant for that, but anyhow)?

WebEA is not the static HTML output, but a web-app connected to the cloud server.
SQL Searches should be very much possible.

Uh, oh. My bad. I shouldn't poke in areas where I have no idea of. Thanks, Geert.

Thank you for all responses. Due to the limitations of webEA we are looking into the use of Prolaborate
