Where does EA save Visual Style settings in Win10?
« on: June 04, 2020, 11:04:28 pm »
Hi

After my company computer has been upgraded to Windows 10, my Visual Style settings are not being saved. When I e.g. change from 'Visual Studio 2013', default, to 'Microsoft Office 2016', it will be reset back to  'Visual Studio 2013' the next time I start EA.

My theory is that some security settings have changed either in the registry or in the 'AppData' folder, that blocks the changes from being saved, but since I do not know where the settings are saved, I need help from you guys.

Regards

Hi Henrik,

Looks indeed like your profile is being reset somehow.
Look here:

Appdata: %appdata%\Sparx Systems\EA
Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sparx Systems

Hi Geert

Seems like it. I have reported it to IT support now and awaits an answer. Hopefully a solution too, since it is not the only serttings I seem to loose. Sometimes I loose some of the global settings as well.
