Tokens, renewal and expiry - what exactly happens after 1 year?

Hi,

I am considering creating an integration plugin to pull information into a cloud hosted model. To do that, i understand that i need to buy a token.

Reading up on tokens, it seems that they expire after one year, but I have not been able to find any clear information on what that means in practical terms. On the face of it, it looks like i have to pay a yearly fee or risk the loss of my own integration plugin.

Is this true? or is it similar to the EA yearly renewal approach. That the token gives access to new versions, and only works with certain versions of the PCS server?

Hi,
My understanding is that a token is an active license on the PCS that needs to be renewed on a yearly basis.
Prolaborate and the PCS license schemes are different from EA since they end if not renewed after 1 year (EA remains usable after 12 months but you no longer have access to the new version unless you renew the licenses).

So I would think that you shouldn't lose anything but it will no longer work until you renew the license.
When you install the PCS without any license, it works as the previous Cloud Service (EA to DB http/https access). Enabling a license (token or team server) adds the REST API needed for EA integration or Prolaborate.
