I tried for 15 minutes to get the following text entered into the original post...

Can't enter "em-dash" in a post...
Details:
There's a problem with using certain types of dash characters in posts in the forum. If you try to add an "Em-dash", either in the title or the main body, the post will generate a database error.

I obviously failed!  The database error seemed to indicate I finally managed to get it added.  But it was wrong!

Em-dash was entered using the Character Map and copy/paste.

But it would help if anyone could confirm the behaviour...

It was my convention, in the past, to use the em-dash following the version number in titles.  Those posts are now corrupted.
See v16β – Purge of Element doesn’t “clean-up” after itself for example...

Hmm lucky that Im mostly using Swedish language Here we often only use "hyphen" and its same char as "minus".

I'd suspect that there are more UTF chars causing trouble, not just the two hyphens.
