List View via Hyperlinks
« on: March 01, 2022, 09:12:11 am »
Using V15.1 I'm creating some navigation diagrams using Navigation Cells in my model to help folk navigate the model. Whilst the navigation cells work great for diagrams, I have a catalogue of elements in a package that I want to list. Whilst you can do this via Tab Design>Model>List View I wonder if that list view can be activated via Hyperlinks as I can't see any way of using Navigation Cells. I've been going through the hyperlink options but to be honest I'm lost as to all the options. Anyone know if I can activate the list view via hyperlink or any other mechanisms from something else in a navigation diagram.
Happy to help

In Diagram Properties there is an option to Always Open as Element View. Is this what you were looking for?

Hi thanks for your reply KP. Not quite. I want to invoke the list view of a package rather than a list view of a diagram. Thought it might be possible to create a navigation diagram with hyperlinks that when clicked would show the list view of a package.

After a bit of experimentation I found that using a hyperlink settings below does almost what I want.
Type: EA Command
ShowView>ViewElementList

This does indeed show the element list of a package that is currently selected in the browser. So thats the view I want except I just need to be able to select which package in the hyperlink so its fixed to a particular package and thus when the hyperlink is clicked it always shows the element list of a particular package.
