get latest of controlled package greyed out
« on: September 04, 2014, 11:35:17 pm »
I have a strange problem with some controlled packages.
Sometimes the menu item "Package Control | Get Latest" is greyed out.

Any ideas?

I found out the package is marked with "CheckedOutTo" - although it is not checked out.

Resync with VC provider results: cleared CheckedOutTo.

But it is not cleared. The PackageFlags still include CheckedOutTo.
Thus Get Latest is still greyed out.

You should report that as bug to Sparx. Which VC do you use?

We are working with svn 1.7.x

I thought about a bug report. But Sparx will require some files to reproduce the bug. In this case it is an EAP file and svn repository - hard to transmit. I will try.

You can use an obfuscation tool to make the repository anonymous. You can get that tool on request. Just send the repository then and they will work on it. They won't need the svn repository on first hand.
