Connectors Tab

It is possible to control a number of aspects of how connectors are shown on a diagram, using the 'Connectors' tab of the diagram 'Properties' dialog.

Show Relationships

Select this checkbox to show connectors between elements in the current diagram.

Deselect the checkbox to hide all connectors on the diagram.

Show Collaboration Numbers

(In Communication diagrams) Select the checkbox to show the group numbering on Communication Messages.

Messages are added to Association connectors in the Communication diagram.

Message (Communication Diagram) Create a Communication Message

Show Non-Navigable Ends

Select this checkbox to indicate when Association ends are not navigable; a cross is shown on each non-navigable end of an Association connector.

Show Connector Property String

Select this checkbox to show the property strings (constraint text) for connectors.

Source and Target Role

Suppress All Connector Labels

Select this checkbox to hide all connector labels on the diagram.

Show Stereotype Labels

Select this checkbox to show a label on each connector indicating the connectors' stereotype.

Deselect the checkbox to hide these stereotype labels.

Connector Properties

Connector Notation

Click on the drop-down arrow and select the required connector notation:

  • UML 2.1 - use the standard UML 2.1 notation for connectors
  • Information Engineering - use the Information Engineering (IE) connection style
  • IDEFX1 - use the Integrated Definition Methods IDEFX1 connection style

If you have finished updating the diagram properties, click on this button to save the changes and close the 'Properties' dialog.

Cancel

If you do not want to save the changes you have made, click on this button to discard the changes and close the dialog.
