Show Element Use
An element can be represented on several diagrams. You can quickly locate which diagrams it occurs in throughout the model, using the Element Usage dialog. Having identified a diagram containing the element, you can then display that occurrence.
Access Click on element in diagram | Element | Find in Diagrams
Right-click on element in diagram | Find | Find in all Diagrams
Right-click on element in Project Browser | Find in all Diagrams
If the element:
| · | Occurs in one diagram only, that diagram immediately displays |
| · | Is not used in any diagram, the Element Usage dialog displays with no entries; click on the Close button to close the dialog |
| · | Is used in more than one diagram, the Element Usage dialog displays listing those diagrams, in each case showing what the element is used as, the diagram type and the diagram name; either: |
| · | Double-click on the details for a diagram to open that diagram and highlight the element (the Element Usage dialog remains open), or |
| · | Click on the details for a diagram and click on the Open button to open that diagram and highlight the element (the Element Usage dialog closes) |
