Behavior Calls

A behavior call is the invocation of a behavior, which you can represent with a CallOperation Action (Operation), CallBehavior Action (Activity) or Interaction Occurrence (Interaction) element. You model the properties of the behavior call using the 'Behavior' tab of the Properties window for the Action or Interaction Occurrence element. You use behavior calls to:

  • Edit Arguments
  • Re-associate the call with a different behavior
  • Synchronize the arguments with the parameters in the associated behavior

Design > Element > Editors > Properties > Behavior

Start > Desktop > Design > Properties > Behavior

Keyboard Shortcuts

Ctrl+2 > Behavior

Alt+1 | Properties > Behavior

Editing a Behavior Call

Click on the Browse. button at the end of the 'Argument' field to display the 'Arguments' tab and create and delete arguments, relating each one to a corresponding parameter in the associated behavior.

Click on the Browse. button on the 'Behavior' field to re-associate the invocation with a different behavior or to remove any association with the current behavior.

For Interaction Occurrence elements, an 'Interaction Occurrence' panel is displayed as well. It enables you to enter the return value and attribute of the behavior call.
