Pro Cloud Server 6.0 Installer

The Pro Cloud Server 6.0 is available as a single installation file for both Microsoft Windows and Linux/Intel Mac operating systems. The installation files are the same for all editions of the Pro Cloud Server (Free, Token, Team & Enterprise Server).

As of version 5.0 the Pro Cloud Server is available in both 64 and 32 bit architectures, prior to v5.0, Pro Cloud Server was only available as a 32 bit application.

The functionality is identical for both architectures, therefore users should choose the architecture to suit their environment.

Registered Users

Users with a valid license of the Pro Cloud Server premium (Team and Enterprise), Pro Cloud Server Token edition or Enterprise Architect can download version 6.0 using the following link. Your access to these links will expire when your Pro Cloud Server license expires. As a precaution we suggest you retain your own copies of all downloads.

Discontinued Products

Both the WAN Optimizer and the Cloud Services are now discontinued, the Pro Cloud Server can be used without a licensed which will provide the same functionality as the Cloud Services and more than the WAN Optimizer. Purchasing a Pro Cloud Server license will only be required if you want to take advantage of the extra features like WebEA, Prolaborate etc.

Installing and Registering Pro Cloud Server v5

As of Pro Cloud Server v5, Pro Cloud Server is available as either a 32 bit or 64 bit application. While the majority of functionality and behavior is identical between the two architectures, there are number of minor differences that will particularly effect existing users of the 32 bit application making the transition to 64 bit. These include:

  • installation folder
  • registry hive

See the user guide for details.

Pro Cloud Server v5 uses the same license registration process as v4, therefore if you have an existing licensed Pro Cloud Server, the same license certicate(s) that were loaded in the previous installation will need to be loaded into the Pro Cloud Server v5 installation.

Installing and Registering Pro Cloud Server v4

As of Pro Cloud Server 4, Pro Cloud Server Licenses have changed from a license key to a 'License Certificate' which is linked to a specific machine. Previous license keys are not compatible with Pro Cloud Server 4. For instructions on licensing Pro Cloud Server 4 refer to the relevant section below.

Below are the instructions for Pro Cloud Server 4:

  1. If you haven't already, purchase your Pro Cloud Server license using the normal sales channels.
  2. Download the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer, available above.
  3. Run the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer (on the server that is going to host Pro Cloud Server), following the detailed instructions in the user guide.
  4. Once the installation is complete, using either of the Configuration Clients, open the Licensing screen/page.
  5. Click the button to create a new 'License Request', fill in as many details as possible (these will be used by the Sparx Systems Sales Team to match your Pro Cloud Server license purchase). Once finished, save the license request file. Note: Ensure the license request was generated on the machine that is going to host the Pro Cloud Server, as the license is bound to the host machine.
  6. Send the 'License Request' file to the Sparx Systems Sales Team at [email protected]
  7. The Sparx Systems Sales Team will then sign your request and return a 'License Certificate'
  8. Using the License screen/page in the Pro Cloud Server Configuration Client of choice add the 'License Certificate'
  9. Pro Cloud Server is now licensed!
  1. Using either of the Configuration Clients, open the Licensing screen/page.
  3. Send the 'License Request' file to the Sparx Systems Sales Team at [email protected]
  4. The Sparx Systems Sales Team will then sign your request and return a 'License Certificate'
  5. Using the License screen/page in the Pro Cloud Server Configuration Client of choice add the 'License Certificate'
  6. Pro Cloud Server is now licensed!

If your previous installation of the Pro Cloud Server v4 has expired, it is now considered Unlicensed, therefore it is just matter following the steps outlined in the 'Existing Unlicensed Installations' section.

Below are the instructions for historical Cloud Products and upgrading them to Pro Cloud Server 4:

If you have purchased a Pro Cloud Server license that is still current and you would like to update to Pro Cloud Server 4, you can download and install the new version. However as mentioned above Pro Cloud Server 4 licensing is not compatible with previous versions and there is an extra step in new licensing process which will cause Pro Cloud Server 4 to run as 'unlicensed', thereby disabling all Pro Features until the license process is completed.

For this reason Sparx Systems has created a separate application, that can create a 'License Request' without having to install Pro Cloud Server 4 until after the 'License Certificate' is returned, thereby ensuring Pro Features are only disabled while the installation is in process.

  1. Download the PCS License Request Generator from using EA credentials here or PCS credentials here.
  2. Copy PCS License Request Generator to the server that is going to host Pro Cloud Server 4.
  3. Run PCS License Request Generator, fill in as many details as possible (these will be used by the Sparx Systems Sales Team to match your Pro Cloud Server license purchase). Once finished, save the license request file.
  4. Send the 'License Request' file to the Sparx Systems Sales Team at [email protected]
  5. The Sparx Systems Sales Team will then sign your request and return a 'License Certificate'
  6. Download the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer, available above.
  7. Run the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer following the detailed instructions in the user guide.
  8. Once the installation is complete, using either of the Configuration Clients, open the Licensing screen/page.
  9. Using the License screen/page in the Pro Cloud Server Configuration Client of choice add the 'License Certificate'
  10. Pro Cloud Server is now licensed!

The Pro Cloud Server Express edition has been discontinued in Pro Cloud Server 4, no further updates to this product are planned. The existing Pro Cloud Server Express edition product will continue to function until its expiry date.

Note: The Pro Cloud Server Token edition has now been introduced as the entry point edition, Tokens can be purchased to enable as many web users and Integrations that your environment requires.

The Pro Cloud Server Small Business edition has be discontinued, there are no future updates after v3.0.25 planned for this product. Version v3.0.25 of the Small Business edition will continue to function until its expiry date.

The Cloud Services product has been discontinued with the release of Pro Cloud Server 4, no further updates to this product are planned.

However an unlicensed Pro Cloud Server 4 installation will operate with the same functionality that the Cloud Services product did. All registered Enterprise Architect users are entitled to download and install the Pro Cloud Server 4 free of charge. The advantage to using the Pro Cloud Server is that if your situation changes in the future your installation can be licensed to enable Pro Features, without needing to install any other products.

Update Instructions
  1. Uninstall the Sparx Systems Cloud Services. Note: Your current settings and configuration will not be removed.
  2. Download the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer, available above.
  3. Run the Pro Cloud Server 4 installer following the detailed instructions in the user guide.

Prolaborate 5.3.0.291 Installer

Prolaborate is a separately installed and configured application that is part of the Pro Cloud Server Suite. Prolaborate allows complete customization of how model data is presented, thereby reducing complexity, allowing attention to be focused and increasing the accessibility of model information for non-modelers and others who are more concerned with consuming the data than directly editing it. Prolaborate also provides a social platform 'outside the model' that supports talking about the model from a different viewpoint than those actively engaged 'within the model'.
