Unable to create elements in toolbox
« on: April 04, 2012, 07:44:20 am »
I experience an issue I can’t deal up with even after a tough thinking/working on it and many researches in helps/online resources and forums :

When creating my own toolbox (basically for using stereotypes with default Tagged values, but even with standard UML types) : The new toolbox “page” appears in the Toolbox (after saving and reimporting Profile), but there’s no elements in it.

Perhaps it’s because I can’t save to a profile in “UML 2” (The listbox with default “Profile type” is set to “EA UML 1.X” and can’t be modified, because it is unselectable/grey).

Can you help me or give me some resources to understand that (documents, help topics) because the main help files and white paper are not very complete regarding this subject.

(I use EA v9.3)

Does your profile package have the «profile» stereotype?

Yes... and no
My package has the stereotype "Profile" and not "profile" ("p" in lower case) and that cause the "Save profile" dialogbox to force the “Profile type” to “EA UML 1.X” instead of  “EA UML 2.X”.

I'll change and let you know if it works.

Many thanks
