Can someone send me an IM?  I can't send any.

Looks like the functionality is broken in Internet Explorer...

TIA,
Paolo

Got it... But I can't reply... will try some other machines today.

Paolo
[edit]Managed to send reply via my Android tablet.  Four non-working setups are all Windows 7, IE 9 - a mixture of 32 bit and 64bit.  Anybody with IE 9 able to send IM?
Symptoms are:
  • the count of remaining characters doesn't change as you type.
  • Board asks to copy clipboard after message completion.
  • Can't get [Alt] keys (such as [Alt+P] for preview to work.
  • Board goes back to category list after [NOT] sending.

What's this? schadenfreude?

I've been off the forum for a few days.  I use IE9 and Win7 because it's a favourite of the corporates I do business with.

However, is anybody - particularly a Sparxian able to use this combination with the IM subsystem?

TIA,
Paolo

More funnies...

Since I'm using IE, I use a spell checker for IE called ieSpell.  It also seems to have problems with this site.

I thought it was a generic problem with ieSpell, but the failures ONLY seem to happen on this site...

EAUI? :(

Somehow, but don't take it personally. I was about to install W7 after I had to setup my XP once again. But then I saw that W7 used over 20Gig on my wife' machine with not much on it while my XP still runs with less than 10Gig including all needed apps. So it's more a kind of condolence...

btw: I heard of an Australian company charging their customers an extra for using IE.

q.

P.S.: see here http://saypeople.com/2012/06/18/australian-retail-website-has-started-to-charge-6-8-extra-to-ie-7-users/#axzz22BuDNilR

I know that the first and last just happened to me using W7/IE9, maybe the others too, I wasnt paying enough attention. Let me know if you received the message.

Forgot to put a smiley in after Schadenfreude...  ;)

I wasn't taking it personally.
