RTF Table header
« on: August 29, 2012, 02:29:27 am »
Hi,

I've reviewed RTF help and associated RTF Generation whitepaper. I can create tables just fine with a nice header row - but if i insert a table into the Element -> Connector -> Target -> Element section the header row is repeated for each element. Is this a know bug ? Is there a work around ?

Regards,

Jon.

I'm missing something here, how can there be more than one target -> element,
can you show me the diagram please ?

No. Sorry. Let me explain - each element can obviously have multiple connectors (relationships with multiple elements). In our meta model we form a Dependency from a BPMN Activity to various library elements, such as applications (UML components), Risks and Controls (UML Classes). No i want a table for each element that lists the details of target elements.

The problem is that Sparx is repeating the header for each row. It shouldn't. Its a bug - i need a workaround ?

Jon.

Sometimes i have this behaviour too i think i have registered this as a bug (among hundred others for the RTF generator) but Sparx does not provide a bug page so i have forgotten it. Since 1/2 a year there have been no bug fix for RTF generator so i think it is a forgetten feature.
But for your problem if this happens you can put the header not in the section with the connectors. Instead put in in the element section and then put only one table row in the connection section. I can send you an example if you want.
