TFS Integration

We’re currently evaluating the MDG add-in for TFS 2010 and I have a question regarding implementation.  Is it possible to use the MDG add-in if the user and TFS server are in different, un-trusted domains?

Our scenario.  We are an international organisation and use TFS in various territories.  We have a single TFS installation in its own domain used by all territories.  Developers are part of their local, territory specific domain and authenticate to TFS using credentials specific to the TFS domain.  There is no trust between the territory domain and the TFS domain.  In testing the MDG add-in we are unable to connect to the TFS server from the EA Project Explorer.  At no point does EA prompt for credentials for the TFS domain.  Is this a supported scenario?

There seems to be something 'odd' with the integration.

Your case sound similar to ours, ie does VS2010 crash when you select something from the TFS menu in the EA explorer under VS2010? If so, it seem NOT to be related to domain and so on. We have tried all on the same local machine, with separat server and client's in all kinds of configurations. We get the TFS version management part to work as i shall from both EA and VS 2010, the integration thing simply kills VS 2010.

We have not got a answer yet when the MDG will be fixed. So could be something that affect your case. Otherwise a great product sofar.

Some (good) update:

We got a notice from Sparx Systemt (1.8.2012) that they have been able to replicate the problem and that they are working on it.

Hopefully there will soon be a solution to this.
