Seems like Ctrl Stroke is stuck
« on: October 03, 2012, 06:03:25 pm »
Hi everyone, I'm new here and for my first post I'm reporting what seems to be a weird behaviour of Sparx.

An internal customer called me to report it : if he right-clicks on an element, the displayed menu isn't the general one (with General propreties & Find options), but the one you'll have if you press Ctrl down while right-clicking: new elements menu.

Of course we've checked if his keyboard wasn't stuck ;)

I've also searched for an option in Sparx but haven't found one related to this kind of behaviour (display of different menus for right click).

Does someone have any idea ? Have I missed an option ? He has a 9.2.921 Corporate version if that can help.

Thx for your help

Wyatt

A bit of a long shot, but check out their "sticky keys" settings.

Exactly where to look is somewhat OS version dependant, Google can help with the specifics.

Under Win7:

Control Panel|Ease of Access|Change how your keyboard works

If "Turn on Sticky Keys" is ticked, untick it and you should be right to go.

Thanks for your answer, I will try it but I doubt it will solve my issue : to check if Ctrl wasn't stuck physically or by software means, we tried to right click on word. Word behavied normally...

If it was a sticky key handled by windows, it would behave the same way everywhere (and control being a quite important shortcut in windows, it would be hard for him to work).
