Multiplicity and Code Generation

I don't know that this is a bug or issue as much as it's a question...

Why is it the if I have a relationship between two classes and a multiplicity of "*", the code engineered does not support this with a List (Java)?  Maybe I'm doing something incorrect.  Please advise.
