I have tried lots of different locations and always run as an Admin. I am on windows 7 and cannot get it to work.

Try to uninstall first. Then (manually) remove any remainders from the program files. Finally try to install.

You're the first one having such an issue (posting here). So it's probably one of these windoze quirks.

It might be your admin account doesn't have full admin rights. Do a search on google on admin accounts on windows. I had a similar problem installing an upgrade to office on my daughter's laptop when she returned from University. The IT Admin's at the Uni did something to her laptop to connect her to the uni network and seemed to have affected the rights of the normal admin accounts. I found something on google about a super admin account that could override normal admin accounts. It was a few years ago so can't remember the details but hopefully that will lead you down another path of investigation.

Can you install anything else, or do any other task that requires full admin rights?

Hello,

I'm having the same issue with my new purchse of EA Professional.

Has a solution been identified?

I have full admin rights, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
I don't get an error when I install but when I try to open a document it doesn't find the program. But the program has been installed because it's listed in my program files and lets me uninstall it..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure UAC is disabled while installing. Check for instance http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/

If install works you can always turn it back on.
