Adding a script to a constraint block
« on: May 03, 2013, 11:34:27 pm »
While trying to create a simluation in EA v10.0 trial version, cannot add a script to a constraint block.

Tried to view the element behavior for the example Portable Audio Player as well, but the option still does not appear.  The simulation works for the sample problem.

Are there any alternative options to edit the constraint block's script or does anyone have suggestions what am I doing wrong?

Hello Martin,

I remember having the same problem.

You have to ensure:
- Installed the ultimate or system engineering version of EA
(I'm not sure about that and installing the trial version)
- In Settings, MDG Technologies check SysML 1.3

After that it worked. I made a little example for my own and successfully tested it. I admit: It takes me some time.

Always a good idea is to search in the forum for SysML, constraint block or so.

Best regards,

Helmut

Thank you for your quick response.

The trial version actually includes all versions, but I tried with Ultimate as well as System Engineering versions (using SE by default), unfortunately, no luck.

In addition to that, tried by checking SysML 1.1, 1.3 separately and everything together, still no luck.

Does the used OS affect it? (Using Win7)

It is very interesting as on the EchoDSP Parametric Example the option is there and the simulation works as follows:

Any other options how to edit the constraint block's script?

Hello,

the function is OS independent. I tried it with XP, Windows7 and 8.

If I remember something I'll inform you.
