[BPMN] Lane - name in multiline or linebreak

V 10.0.1007

Hi all, first post here and it might be a newbie question:

With the BPMN model type, we've modeled in a team multiple models across packages.
In one package, all lanes are created as part of an object library, so only one instance is used.
The library was created with abbreviated names for departments. We've updated the abbreviations to full names and encountered the problem that models are changed / updated in an unwanted manner:
- lanes are updated with the name correctly across model packages
- lane sizes are updated as well, spanning the whole length of the lane name
The second change is highly unwanted, as created models have been meticulously laid out for offset and printing purposes.
Please refer to the attached image where a pool and two lanes are shown, where the second lane is updated with the long name and the right pool boundary is the original width for both lanes.

Is there any way to either:
- Force fixed positions & sizes for basic elements like pools and swimlanes (preferred)
- Force name fields to a maximum size so linebreaks occur
- Manually add linebreaks that are recognized by EA (and please explain how to implement these)

Its sounds similar to a bug i have reported, in which lanes change width when you zoom in/out - giving the same problem you have encounterd. I'd report as a bug to ensure that both are fixed together...

It sounds like EA doesn't support wrapping, and will ensure your name fits in the lane.

The name will word-wrap if there are spaces in it, but there appears to be a problem when the lane is contained within a pool - the wrapping isn't happening. I'm told it's already being worked on.

Thank you for the reply!

Should I report a bug? Or is it already in development?
