Import MS SQL Views - Create not displayed

I am using Import ODBC feature to create data models for our production databases. Some are still MS SQL 2000, but most are MS SQL 2008.
My question has to do with the imported views. For MS SQL 2000 databases, the imported view displays the Create statement whereas the views for MS SQL 2008 do not. Any clues why?

Also I noticed that MOST of the tables/views used within the view have a generalization association created, but sometimes a table/view is missing. Any clues why?
