Empty error message on startup

For the past couple of days I've been getting an empty error message on startup which stops me from launching EA.  I'm running on Windows 7.  I'm running an version 8.0.0.856.
Just wondering how I can diagnose the problem? Are there any logs generated anywhere, or can I force it to run in a debug mode to generate some logs?
Others are running exactly the same version on Win7 without problem.

EA is not very chatty when it comes to error diagnosis. Your only help would be to a) re-install EA and/or b) contact Sparx support in such cases.
