Process appearance
« on: September 14, 2006, 01:34:41 am »
Hi,

I have one important question:

when I change stereotype of  process object, EA start to use rectange notation. I want to change sterotype of process object without changing notation. How can I configure EA to reach this target?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom,
you likely have to redefine the stereotype settings. Go to Settings/UML/Stereotypes. From there it should be obvious what to do.

I know that I should do something in Seetings/UML/Stereotypes but I don't know what...?

You need to tell EA what kind of picture you expect for the new stereotype. If it's not a predefined stereotype but one you invented, then you have to defined it int the aforementioned list. Along with the definition you tell EA what picture (be it a WMF or a Shape Script) shall be used.

Tom,

Just thought I'd add that the shape script documentation through 6.1 is not usable. The Sparx folks have really improved this in 6.5 production (thanks Neil and crew, it was worth the wait!).

There are still a few small issues, which I'll issue bug reports for over the weekend, but make sure you are using build 797 or later. If you are using an earlier build download the user manual or help files for the current build; AFAIK the shape script language is the same except for the cloud path stuff.

No, you can't have it!
