Deleting "My searches"
« on: December 19, 2013, 08:14:26 pm »
I have added some searches under "My searches" in "Find in project", for testing purposes. I would now like to delete these searches, and I thought this could be done by "Builder" and "Delete search". But the next time I open my project, the searches are still there. Is this a known issue?

Knut,

Normally that should just work.
But if all else fails you can still delete the file
%appdata%Sparx Systems\EA\Search Data\EA_Search.xml

that should get rid of them for once and for all.

I just tried this in version 10.0.1007.  The search was deleted.  I then exited EA and restarted it.  After opening the model the search was still absent/deleted.

Not sure why it's not working for you, so perhaps Geert's suggestion is your best option.

Hello,

by the way:
Sometimes it's useful to edit searches with an *.xml editor.

It seems like this was a problem on my old computer, or on my previous installation of EA. I do not have the problem anymore.
Thanks to Geert for instructions abonut EA_Search.xml. That might become valueable for other issues.
