Adding Tagged Value of _Bezier to a Connector

I followed this passage in Peter Doomen's "Teach Yourself Enterprise Architect in 10 Days" and it worked.  But it's such a convoluted way to make a connector line bend, that I wonder if there is an easier way:

It is easy to make a connector curved. Open the connector properties by clicking it, then choose “Tagged Values” and add a tagged value called “_Bezier” with value 1.  A little square appears in the middle of the connector. Drag it to curve the line.

You have a Line Style - "Bezier' (Right click on connector) for certain behavioural diagrams (Activity Diagram, State Diagram. But to use bezier style in structural diagrams or use case diagrams you might have to use the tagged value approach.

Keep in mind: This tagged values works for all diagrams the connector is visualized.

I can't understand by Bezier isn't added to the global line styles, except that would assist with consistency and usability.
