Context Filtering does not grey out images
« on: February 11, 2015, 07:51:07 am »
When you make an object have an alternate image, applying the context filter does not grey out these images.

This works counter to how a user would expect, where all diagram objects that are unrelated to the selected object should be greyed out.

This makes it difficult when you use images in your diagram, because there is no visual indication that the images are unrelated.

Metafiles are. I know we looked into doing it for bitmaps too. Can't remember exactly why we chose not to.

Well thanks to your tip, I found a workaround by converting my PNGs to EMF using Visio.  It's a pain, but I'm not dead in the water!

Still would be cool if Context filtering supported bitmaps...

I'm noticing that my larger EMF files (>5mb) are not showing up.
Is there a limitation to the file size of metafiles?
