Connectors behaving weird in v12
« on: March 19, 2015, 12:49:52 am »
I'm creating new activity diagrams and state machine diagrams in EA12 but it seems connectors now have a weird behavior. They don't fit the same way as before (EA11). Connectors are not aligned to the center of the elements they connect.

Anyone having the same behavior? any way to solve it?

There's an option that controls that behavior, maybe they changed the default.
The option is in Tools|Options|Links, on the right side you have a radiobutton group called New Connector End-Points with choices
- Center to Center
- Exact placement

I noticed that changing zoom level objects are changing size and some times its position.

If you change the fit behavior to wrap then changing zoom will change that objects..

There is definitely something weird about connectors in V12. The end points appear to be anchored to a fixed position in the destination element. This is irrespective of whether "Center to center" or "Exact placement" is selected under Tools|Options|Links. The unfortunate result is that if an element is re-sized or moved straight connectors no longer stay straight they become slanted.
