Is it possible to export the mdl files that i created in RationalRose to a format understandable by Enterprise Architect/Microsoft Visio.

Hello,

I cannot comment on importing into Visio.  However on the subject of importing Rose information into EA.  We currently do not have any plans to directly interfacte with Rose model files - however we do have an XMI import capability (which has some limitations due to the nature of XMI) ... you can use this import facility by installing the Rose Unisys XMI tools (available from the Rose site for free) and exporting your Rose model to UML 1.3 compliant XMI. This can then be imported into EA. A reasonable amount of touch up work is still required after importing ... but the main model elements are imported  OK.

Hope this helps.
