Properties Question
« on: February 08, 2002, 09:35:10 am »
I'm new to EA and just starting to use it, but I was going through the UCs and noticed that when I highlight in an element (such as an actor or requirement, etc.) the Properties window (in the lower right) shows the associated "Note".  But when I highlight a Diagram (i.e. Requirements Diagram) the Properties window does not show the associated Note of the diagram.  When I create RTF documentation, the diagram note is the one (naturally) which shows up - so I was wondering why it doesn't show up in the Properties window?  (Yes, I know you can always right click and view properties of the diagram)

Thanks... and by the way, I love your product.  I bought it and intend to use it in place of TogetherSoft!

Shawn,

Nice to see another former TogetherSoft person here.  I used it back when it was Playground!   I've also bagged Paradigm Plus and Rational and use EA exclusively as well!

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Shawn,

Yes - currently EA shows properties for 'objects' only (including packages). We do have plans to extend this and redo some of the property windows - and to include support for diagram and link properties.

I cant give a firm date on this at the moment, but I would expect over the next few months there will be changes here.
