Importing Package
« on: April 09, 2002, 03:57:53 pm »
( :-[  Sorry my english!!)

Im avaliating System Archtect and I´m very  exciting with the posibility that my small company  by an UML tool.

My question is about working with more then one eap file.
I try to do this as a test.

First I create an Framework.EAP and in this model I create a classe named person.
Second I create another project called Roles.EAP and in this
I create a class Emploee.
Third  I imported the package where my class person was in the Framework.EAP project in my Roles.EAP.
Then I create a diagram and make my classe Employee derived from Person.
In an Interactive Incremental aproach let´s supose that in the next interaction I need to do some improve in my framework my question is: how culd I importing again my framework in my role project without brake my diagram???

Hi,

I checked this out and there does seem to be an issue with linked elements during the import of packages from XML.

It was originally intended the import/export be of discrete package structures - relatively self-contained. But in practice they have developed well beyond this. I will look into this and try and get an update within the next two weeks.

Thanks for pointing it out,
