Is there even a possibility of Sparx providing a WINE solution so that we can run the windows version of EA in linux? (maybe suggested dll's and whatnots?)
from what I have tried , it seems like msxml3.dll is the only dll not to register successfully under linux, and there seems to be some issues with Common Controls (ole dll's and the like)
it would be great to know what the stance is on linux support.

Hello,

Currently EA is only available on the Windows platform and since adding support for Linux/unix would require major changes to the application we don't have any immediate plans to support these platforms.

As for the WINE solution we are unfamiliar with the product or what is required.  If someone with experience of WINE wants to suggest what is required, we may be willing to investigate, however our focus need to remain on the Windows version.  Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.
