Features and Requirements
« on: June 04, 2002, 07:41:26 am »
Hi again

Is it possible to create a new stereotype to document product features called "feature", assign a new metafile to it, and add it to the custom toolbar?

Can we create new attributes in the requirement object (or any other object) like "Risk" or "Effort", and define our own set of values (Hi, Med, Low, or anything else)? If yes, can we create reports using our new attributes as filters?

Thanks again

Hi,

I think the best way to achieve some of what you want is to use the new UML Profiles functionality.

This lets you specify a set of stereotypes and tagged values - and have the element appear in the Resources tab for dragging onto diagrams. Look at:
http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/uml_profiles.htm

for some examples and an introduction.

In the future we will be adding a 'tagged values' property inspector that will make editing the tagged values in elements created from Profiles a lot easier.

The filtering of reports based on tagged values is not something that has been looked at yet ... I will see what can be arranged in the future.

Hope this helps,
